Antique Old Glory and Her Allies WWI Era Flags Plate Comemmorative

This antique plate features the flags of the United States and Her 15 Allied Nations leading up to WWI. Issued to raise funds for the war effort. This is a wonderful patriotic collectible. The plate depicts Old Glory in the center, flanked by the flags of Her allies. The flags are repeated all around the border of the plate, with the names of each country below. Two gold bands rim the inner and outer edges. Made by the American company, Knowles, Taylor & Knowles, circa 1917. Marked on the back, ''Old Glory and Her Allies /Copyright 55402'', and ''K.T.& K./ S---V (semi-vitreous)/ China/ P.D.A.'' There is a hairline crack (does not go thru to the other side) 1 1/8'' long, at 11 o'clock; the plate has overall crazing under the glaze; there's a 2mm glaze flake on the back rim. Otherwise, it's in very good condition, with the transfer colors bright, the gold intact and glaze still glossy. Diameter: 9½ inches. This would make a fabulous display piece for wall or cabinet!
