Amazing Scottish Celtic cross pebble brooch with citrines and other stones, made of silver-topped metal, with a beautiful chased pattern of Celtic knots.
This antique Scottish Celtic Cross Brooch Gemstone Cross, is perfect for a Scottish wedding, or anyone of Scots heritage. It would make a lovely groom's Boutonniere, maybe with a thistle, or a amazing Kilt Pin!
My research tells me that this is Victorian, and there are only a few examples out there. It is a true work of art. The backing metal may be steel or nickel, but the top is silver, likely around .800 fineness, but I cannot test it without damaging the piece. The clasp is an old-style one, and may have been a later addition, where it was converted from a necklace.
A rare and beautiful piece, and will be shipped in a padded, protective storage pouch and gift boxed. Not original boxes, I use all pre-owned boxes.
