‘Curious Koi’ is a special original handmade watercolor and Sumi ink painting by Artist Tristina Dietz Elmes.
This colorful fish is painted on rice paper, is waxed for protection and then mounted onto bamboo paper with a special Japanese wheat paste. Note that the mounting process creates some small creases in the rice paper.
The artwork arrives beautifully presented attached with artist’s tape on a white or black acid free mat and in a sealed plastic bag. Simply remove from the bag and this painting is ready to pop into your favorite frame.
